STRiPS CHiPS uses effective tools in all production processes. For a more economical packaging process, the manufacturer of gluten-free legume chips decided to innovate the production segment of its product packaging. For the new complex production, which has increased tenfold year-on-year, a packaging line from WEOMAX MACHINERY was incorporated into the new production facilities and unique production line.

The existing processes - manually operated production and packaging machines - were replaced by an automatic production line, to which we also supplied a packaging machine. The connection of the packaging machine with a ten-head weigher to the fully automatic chip frying line was seamless. And it is still the case after two years of operation.

The client's interest in the packaging machine was supported by a price offer, which, including the modification of the machine configuration, was submitted within hours. Since our company is part of the WEOMAX GROUP s.r.o. brand, we offer those interested in purchasing packaging machines a PACKAGING TEST OF OUR OWN PRODUCTS on machines that WEOMAX GROUP has in its production portfolio. During this test, we verify the set functionalities of the machine together with the client. This was carried out on three of the client's products. The test resulted in several suggestions for design modifications to the machine.

Before confirming the production of the machine, a reconnaissance of the client's production premises is always carried out. At the new STRiPS CHiPS hall, there was no need to resolve any potential collisions with the permeability of the transport route for the machine from the unloading point to the installation site. The capacity and availability of the electrical supply and compressed air supply were discussed with the designers during the construction of the hall. An important point is the load-bearing capacity of the floors or ceilings, the temperature and humidity of the production premises and other parameters that may affect the installation or operation of the machine. All of this was met within the scope of the investigation in STRiPS CHiPS and production was started.

The production of the machine at our partner in China is conditioned by the test of products that are intended for packaging or handling of our machines. In this business case, the test was performed on a similar machine, therefore, there was no need for product tests directly in production.

If these are specific products, these products are sent for a final test, which is monitored and is forwarded to the client in online form or as a record before the machine is sent to the Czech Republic. The shipment also includes a selection of parts and components that are subject to wear and tear and are documented as spare parts for the machine.

Packaging machines are transported by train or, at the customer's request, by air or by ship. Primary transport is by train. The shipment is delivered under DDP conditions - which is a process where the goods are transported at our expense to the place of unloading, which is carried out by the client at the installation site. At STRiPS CHiPS, installation occurred 90 days after ordering the machine.

We promptly approach each machine installation, which takes approximately ten hours depending on the type selected. The installation of the machine and additional equipment at STRiPS CHiPS took place in one working day. This was followed by an operational test of the machine.

Before the final handover of the machine, the client performs a revision of the electrical wiring.

The training of the packaging machine operator and the training of the adjuster took place the following day. The condition for professional training is the use of all products that will be packaged within the company's production portfolio. Individual products or raw materials have different properties that determine the setting and entry of parameters into the memory of the control unit. The control on the touch screen is intuitive and can be set in Czech on request.

The smooth installation and handover of the KM-L450W vertical packaging machine for packaging chips, or other products (nuts, pasta, cereals, legumes, coffee beans, rice or dried fruit...) was 100%. Satisfaction on both sides is supported by our continued dependence on STRiPS CHiPS legume chips!
